Osteoporosis: Vitamin D
For people with osteoporosis, a higher Vitamin D intake is always recommended. Back pain caused by osteoporosis is often associated with low content of calcium. Vitamin D is an essential nutrient for bone health, as it helps with calcium absorption, facilitates osteoblast activity and even helps to strengthen the bone structure. Common foods high in Vitamin D are curd, chicken, egg yolk, and fish. Adding these foods to diet may significantly help people with osteoporosis.
