6. Tingling and Numbness

Uncontrolled blood sugar can cause nerve damage, also known as diabetic neuropathy. This affects the feet, legs, hands, and arms. People with diabetes might experience tingling, burning, numbness, and even decreased sensitivity to pain or temperature. The symptoms tend to worsen at night.
