Under the impact of the COVID-19, Coca-Cola not only cut off the labor force but also abandon some brands. Coca-Cola Chairman and CEO James Quincy said on the October 2020 earnings conference call: "We have been challenging traditional business methods, and the pandemic has helped us realize that we can work harder." Last year it got rid of a number of slow-moving brands, including Tab, Zico coconut water, Diet Coke Fiesty Cherry, and Odwalla juice.
