14. Papa John's

The youngest and smallest of the big four pizza chains, Papa John's promises to stand out by offering "better ingredients, better pizza." While it has managed to beat the general low-quality flavors of Little Caesars and the grease bomb of Pizza Hut, the stuff is still far from gourmet. To be fair, Papa John's isn't bad if you're hungry in a college dorm or find yourself in a small town with no other options. It's a serviceable pie with ingredients that don't taste frozen or processed. It's kind of like the Bud Light of pizza. Easy, unobjectionable, but nothing about Papa John's offerings really stands out.
