Variations of Peppers

While black pepper is produced from the unripe fruits of the pepper plant, white pepper is made from the very ripe fruits. The skin of the fruits is also removed by soaking in water for about a week to show the color of white pepper. Other variations of peppers include green pepper and red pepper, and color-preserving techniques are involved in the production processes.
