Mars Petcare US, Inc. Voluntarily Recalls 315 Bags of PEDIGREE® Adult Complete Nutrition Grilled Steak & Vegetable Flavor Dry Dog Food, 44 lb. Bag Size

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Mars Petcare US has issued a voluntary recall of PEDIGREE® Adult Complete Nutrition Grilled Steak & Vegetable Flavor dry dog food, 44 lb. bags, after discovering the potential presence of loose metal pieces that could pose a physical hazard to pets; consumers who have the product should stop using it immediately and keep it away from animals. The company says there have been no reports of pet injury or illness to date, but urges pet owners to monitor animals that may have consumed the product and to contact a veterinarian with any concerns.

The recall affects 44 lb. bags of PEDIGREE® Adult Complete Nutrition Grilled Steak & Vegetable Flavor dry dog food with Best By Date March 4, 2025 and lot code(s) 410B2TXT02. The Best By Date and lot code(s) are printed on the bottom seal on the back of the bag. The affected bags have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers—specifically Walmart stores in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas—and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025 (consumers should check their purchases against the date and lot code information provided).

Consumers should stop using the product and either dispose of it safely or request a refund or replacement; do not feed the product to pets.
