Raleigh, N.C., Feb. 13, 2026 — IF Copack LLC d.b.a. Initiative Foods has recalled one lot of Tippy Toes Apple Pear Banana fruit puree because testing has detected elevated levels of patulin, a mycotoxin produced by mold that can cause immune suppression, nerve damage, headache, fever and nausea with long-term exposure. Consumers who have this product should stop using it immediately and either dispose of it or return it for a refund; no illnesses have been reported to date.
The recall applies to Tippy Toes Apple Pear Banana in 2-pack plastic tubs (package code identifier INIA0120), lot code(s) Lot #07174 with a Best By date stamped “BB 07/17/2026” (UPC 036800, 265783). The product has been sold online and at select U.S. retailers nationwide (all states except Alaska) and may have been distributed in Guam and Puerto Rico, and has been sold since Sept. 15, 2025. The lot was identified after sampling by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration found patulin levels above typical amounts.
Consumers should dispose of the product or return it to the place of purchase for a refund and contact their healthcare provider if they have health concerns after consumption. Retailers should remove the affected lot from sale and inventory immediately.
