Raleigh, N.C., April 23, 2026 — French Broad Chocolates PBC has recalled Bette’s Bake Sale Bonbon Collection (6pc, 12pc and 24pc boxes) because the tasting notes insert may misidentify bonbon flavors and fail to disclose walnuts, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reaction to people with walnut allergies; consumers who are allergic or severely sensitive to walnuts should stop using the product immediately and should not eat it.
The affected products are Bette’s Bake Sale 6 piece (lot code(s) 260414, 260417), Bette’s Bake Sale 12 piece (lot code(s) 260414, 260417) and Bette’s Bake Sale 24 piece (lot code(s) 260414, 260417). The recalled items have been sold since April 14, 2026, packaged in paper boxes, and distributed online and at French Broad Chocolates retail stores in Asheville, N.C., as well as to select U.S. retailers and customers in AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI and WV between April 14 and April 20, 2026.
Consumers with a tree nut allergy who purchased these products should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of them; those seeking a replacement may contact the company to inquire about options.
