Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Albertsons Companies, in coordination with Fresh Creative Foods (a division of Reser’s Fine Foods, Inc.), has recalled select store-made deli items because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria that can cause serious or fatal infections in vulnerable people and pregnancy complications. Consumers are urged to stop using these products immediately and not to eat them.
The recalled items include several ready-meal pasta salads and grilled chicken pasta products containing bowtie pasta ingredient supplied by Nate’s Fine Foods. Affected product names and lot code(s) include READY MEALS PESTO BOWTIE PASTA SALAD (lot codes: SEP 8 25 thru SEP 29 25; UPC 27133000000), BASIL PESTO BOWTIE PASTA SALAD (lot codes: SEP 8 25 thru SEP 29 25; UPC 29492100000), READY MEALS SPINACH BOWTIE PASTA SALAD (lot codes: SEP 16 25 thru SEP 26 25; UPC 21142600000), GRILLED CHICKEN & BASIL PASTA EXTRA LARGE (lot codes: SEP 18 25 thru SEP 29 25; UPC 21303500000), and related variations sold under multiple banners. These products have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers, including Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Pavilions, Randalls, Tom Thumb and others, in numerous states since Sept. 8, 2025.
Consumers who purchased any of the listed items should discard them or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund and should clean and sanitize any surfaces or containers that contacted the products to avoid cross-contamination. There have been no reported illnesses linked to these items; anyone who is ill or believes they may have been exposed should contact a healthcare provider.
