W.W. Industrial Group Recalls Pear Slices in Juice Due to Elevated Levels of Lead and Cadmium

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — W.W. Industrial Group, Inc. of New York has recalled Parashore Pear Slices in Juice, 15 oz cans, after testing detected elevated levels of lead and cadmium that pose a poisoning risk, particularly to infants, young children and pregnant people. Consumers are advised to stop using the product immediately and not to eat it.

The recall covers Parashore Pear Slices in Juice, 15 oz (425 g), UPC# 704817164237, lot code(s): Lot 3700/01172 6122J, production date 02/19/2024, Best by 02/19/2027. The product has been sold online and at select U.S. retailers, including Grocery Outlet stores in California and other Grocery Outlet locations across the United States, and have been sold since Feb. 19, 2024.

Consumers who purchased the recalled product should discard it in the trash or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund, or contact W.W. The company is investigating the cause of the contamination; no illnesses have been reported as of July 22, 2025.
