Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — CHS Inc. has voluntarily recalled Payback® Champion Lamb Text B30 with Power Booster after tests and a customer report indicated the product may contain elevated levels of copper, a contaminant that can cause severe copper toxicity in sheep. Continued feeding may result in lethargy, anemia, grinding of teeth, poor appetite, discolored mucous membranes, dark or red urine, recumbency and rapid death. Consumers who purchased this product should stop using it immediately and avoid feeding it to animals; if animals show symptoms, contact a veterinarian at once.
The recall covers Payback® Champion Lamb Text B30 with Power Booster bearing lot code(s) M#134300 and label date 02/14/25. The product was manufactured at CHS’s Great Falls, Mont., facility and has been sold since Feb. 19, 2025, online and at select U.S. retailers and dealers in Montana, North Dakota and Wyoming. No other lot numbers or feed products from the Great Falls facility are included in this recall.
Customers should dispose of or return the recalled product to their local dealer for a full refund and may request replacement or reimbursement by contacting CHS at [email protected] for instructions. For suspected animal illness or death after exposure, seek immediate veterinary care; retain packaging and lot information for any claims or investigations and consult CHS or your dealer for additional guidance.
