Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Rizo-López Foods, Inc. has issued a voluntary recall of multiple dairy products because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a pathogen that can cause severe or fatal infections in young children, older adults, pregnant people and those with weakened immune systems. Consumers are advised to stop using the listed products immediately and to not eat them; anyone who has consumed the products and is experiencing symptoms such as fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain or diarrhea should seek medical attention.

The recalled items include cheeses (Cheddar, Cotija, Fresco, Monterey, Oaxaca, Panela, Paneer and others), yogurt and sour cream sold under brand names including Tio Francisco, Don Francisco, Rizo Bros, Rio Grande, Food City, El Huache, La Ordena, San Carlos, Campesino, Santa Maria, Dos Ranchitos, Casa Cardenas and 365 Whole Foods Market. The company identifies affected units by specific lot code(s); consumers should consult the product-specific identification information provided by Rizo-López Foods and the FDA to confirm whether an item is included.
