Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Lipari Foods has issued a voluntary recall of multiple ready-to-eat chicken salad and sandwich products because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in vulnerable populations and can cause miscarriage in pregnant women. Consumers who have these products should not eat them and should stop using them immediately.
The recall covers Lipari Old Tyme Bulk Chicken Salad (lot code(s) 272196), Lipari Old Tyme Bulk Cranberry Almond Chicken Salad (lot code(s) 656742), Premo Chicken Salad Wedge Sandwiches (lot code(s) 915530 and 207715), Fresh Grab Chicken Salad Wedge Sandwiches (lot code(s) 253377), and Premo Signature Cranberry Almond Chicken Salad on Croissant (lot code(s) 915628). The products have been distributed exclusively by Lipari Foods in Warren, Mich., to food service and retail stores in Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Wisconsin, and have been sold since Aug. 25, 2019; affected best-by dates are listed by product and range from Sept. through Oct. 2019.
Consumers should discard the recalled product or return it to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement.
