Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Authentik Fudge has recalled MONTREAL FUDGE Chocolate Fudge with Nuts because of potential mold contamination that presents a food-safety risk; consumers should stop using the product immediately and either dispose of it or return it for a refund. The company says no illnesses have been reported to date and the recall follows a consumer complaint and subsequent findings of early-stage mold on unpacked sealed items at the manufacturing site.
The recall covers MONTREAL FUDGE Chocolate Fudge with Nuts packaged in a 5.6 oz gable box, bearing lot code(s) 0241500805 (exp. 2025/MR/01), 0241690105 (exp. 2025/MR/17) and 0241690205 (exp. 2025/MR/17). Affected products have been sold since June 19, 2024, online and at select U.S. retailers, including TJ Maxx stores in Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Washington and Wyoming, and Marshalls stores across multiple states nationwide.
Consumers who purchased the identified lot code(s) should destroy the product or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund, or contact Authentik Fudge/Montreal Fudge to request a refund or replacement.
