Firehook of Virginia Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Sesame in Classic Sea Salt Crackers

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Firehook of Virginia has recalled one lot of Firehook brand Classic Sea Salt Organic Crackers because the product may contain undeclared sesame, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reaction to people with sesame allergy or severe sensitivity; consumers should stop using the product immediately and not eat it. The recall was initiated May 30, 2025, after the company determined that a temporary breakdown in production and packaging resulted in sesame‑containing product being placed in packaging that did not disclose sesame. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recalled item is Firehook Classic Sea Salt Crackers, 8 oz, with lot code(s) identified by a Best By Date of 09/29/25 and UPC 8 99055 00063 5. The crackers have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers in CT, MA, MD, ME, NC, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI and VA and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025.
