Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Bedner Growers, Inc. of Boynton Beach, Florida has recalled cucumbers because they may be contaminated with Salmonella, a pathogen that can cause serious illness; consumers should stop using and not eat the affected cucumbers immediately. The recall follows an FDA-linked outbreak that has resulted in 26 reported illnesses across multiple states and poses particular risk to young children, the elderly, pregnant people and those with weakened immune systems.
The recalled items are cucumbers sold at Bedner’s Farm Fresh Market locations in Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, and West Palm Beach; the cucumbers were sold between April 29, 2025, and May 14, 2025. Lot code(s): no stickers or lot codes were applied to the affected cucumbers. The product was also sold to a wholesale distributor that has been instructed to notify its customers. These recalled cucumbers have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers as applicable since April 29, 2025; consumers should check purchase dates and locations against the April 29–May 14, 2025 window.
