Walmart Inc. Recalls Marketside Fresh Cut Cucumber Slices in 34 Texas Stores Because of Possible Health Risk

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Walmart Inc. has voluntarily recalled Marketside Fresh Cut Cucumber Slices produced in select stores because the product may be contaminated with Salmonella after being supplied with whole cucumbers that were previously recalled by SunFed Produce, LLC. The core risk is salmonellosis, which can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea and, in vulnerable individuals, severe invasive illness; consumers should stop using and not eat the product immediately.

The recalled item is Marketside Fresh Cut Cucumber Slices (UPC/PLU 62969, average unit weight 1.5 lbs) with lot code(s) and date codes up to 12/1/2024. The product has been sold since Oct. 12, 2024, online and at select U.S. retailers, including 34 Walmart stores in Texas (store list available from Walmart). If you purchased this product from other retailers, check your packaging and lot code(s) against recall notices provided by the seller.

Consumers who have the recalled product should not consume, serve, sell or distribute it and should either dispose of it securely or return it to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement; surfaces that may have contacted the product should be cleaned and sanitized to avoid cross-contamination.
