World Green Nutrition, Inc. Expands Recall of Tejocote Products Due to the Presence of Yellow Oleander

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — World Green Nutrition, Inc. has expanded a recall of two dietary supplements — ELV Control Herbal Supplement (90 capsules) and ELV ALIPOTEC Mexican Tejocote Root Supplement Pieces (Raiz de Tejocote Mexicano Suplemento en Trozos, Net Wt. 0.3 oz/7 g) — because they contain yellow oleander, a toxic plant that can cause serious neurological, gastrointestinal and cardiovascular effects, including arrhythmia and death. Consumers should stop using the recalled products immediately and not consume them.

The recalled products are identified by the following lot code(s). ELV Control Herbal Supplement: N082522, N0952676, N1072701, GESPM050722-P, GESPM080822-P, 300320230003, 100620230008 (and other lot codes listed by the company). Mexican Tejocote Root Supplement Pieces: 031121366MR1, 231121496MR1, 250122103R, 160322104MR, 031121430MR1, 201221N777MR, 031121367MR1, 231121494MR1, 181121N441MR, 181121483MR1, and numerous additional lot codes detailed by the firm. The products have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025 (consumers should check packaging and purchase records to confirm lot codes and sale dates). The company reports that it has received consumer complaints and that the recall was initiated after FDA testing detected yellow oleander in the products.
