Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Prairie Farms has recalled select Prairie Farms Gallon Fat Free Milk produced at its Dubuque, Iowa facility because some containers may contain food‑grade cleaning agents that could cause illness if consumed. Consumers who purchased the affected product should not eat it and should stop using it immediately; do not taste the product.

The recall covers Prairie Farms Gallon FAT FREE Milk with code date DEC08 and plant code PLT19‑145, lot code(s) from the DEC08 production run processed between 17:51 and 21:23; UPC 7273023117. Prairie Farms says only a portion of the DEC08 run (approximately 320 gallons sold) is impacted and that all remaining affected product has been removed from store shelves.
