Recall Details
Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Go Raw LLC has expanded a voluntary recall to include Steve’s Real Food Chicken Recipe Freeze-Dried (1.25 lb) due to potentially low levels of thiamine (vitamin B1), a nutrient essential for normal carbohydrate metabolism and neurologic function in cats and dogs. The deficiency can cause appetite loss, vomiting, weight loss and, in advanced cases, neurological signs such as wobbling, circling, seizures and profound weakness; consumers should stop feeding the product to pets immediately and seek veterinary care if any symptoms are observed.
The expanded recall covers Steve’s Real Food Chicken Recipe Freeze-Dried, lot code(s) C26022, UPC 6-91730-18103-1, Best By Date 1/22/2028, sold in beige, zip-locked 1.25 lb. bags with a maroon stripe. The company reports this lot has been distributed online and at select U.S. retailers in multiple states (including CO, UT, WA, OR, PA, RI, MI, CA, TX, IL, GA, NC, SC, FL, MN, NY, OH, WI, ID and MT) and that affected products have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025; while the firm believes the lot is no longer in distribution, it has expanded the recall out of an abundance of caution.
Consumers who purchased the affected lot should stop using it, dispose of it safely or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund or replacement. Pet owners with questions or concerns may request assistance or file a claim by contacting Go Raw LLC at [email protected] or by calling 801-432-7478 (M–F, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. MST). If you notice signs of thiamine deficiency in a pet, contact your veterinarian promptly; for additional details or updates, check company and FDA notices.
