Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Sugar Foods has recalled 3.5-ounce pouches of Fresh Gourmet Tortilla Strips Santa Fe Style because the product may be contaminated with an undeclared wheat allergen, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reaction for people with wheat allergy or severe sensitivity. Consumers who have purchased the affected product should not eat it and should stop using it immediately.
The recall covers Fresh Gourmet Tortilla Strips Santa Fe Style, 3.5-ounce pouches, lot code(s) identified by UPC Code 7 87359 17504 6 with a Best By Date of June 20, 2025. The company says the product has been sold since Sept. 30, 2024 and was distributed online and at select U.S. retailers and distribution centers in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, MD, ME, MI, MN, NC, NJ, OH, OR, PA, TX, UT, VA and WA between Sept. 30, 2024 and Nov. 11, 2024.
Consumers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund or discard it; they may also request a replacement by contacting Sugar Foods Consumer Care.
