Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Lyons Magnus LLC has issued a voluntary recall of 4 oz. Lyons ReadyCare and Sysco Imperial frozen supplemental shakes because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause serious or fatal infections in vulnerable populations and pregnancy complications. Consumers, caregivers and facilities that have these products should stop using them immediately and quarantine any cartons to prevent potential exposure.
The recalled items include ReadyCare and Imperial frozen shakes packed in 4 oz. cartons with lot code(s) printed on the top of the carton and Best By dates ranging 022125 to 022126. Item numbers and product names affected include ReadyCare Frozen Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry and variant formulations (item #s 1733–1754, 1747, 1749, 1844, 3633) and Sysco Imperial Frozen Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry and variant formulations (item #s 3338–3342, 3342, 3364, 3699). The products have been distributed primarily to long‑term care facilities and other institutional customers online and at select U.S. retailers and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025; consumers should check carton lot code(s) and Best By dates to identify affected packages.
Consumers and facilities that possess recalled cartons should quarantine and either dispose of or return them to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement; consumers seeking reimbursement or guidance should contact Lyons Magnus at [email protected] for instructions.
