Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Hillside Orchard Farms has recalled multiple flavors of its 23 oz fruit breads and 7.5 oz fritters because labels failed to declare egg, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reaction to consumers with egg allergy or severe sensitivity; consumers who have these products should stop using them immediately and not eat them.
The recalled items include Apple Bread (lot code(s) 1001), Peach Bread (1002), Strawberry Bread (1011), Cinnamon Pecan Bread (1012), Blueberry Bread (1013), Blackberry Bread (1014), Banana Nut Bread (1016), Cheese Bread (1017), Jalapeno Cheese Bread (1018), Apple Fritters (1051), Peach Fritters (1052), Strawberry Fritters (1061), Cinnamon Pecan Fritters (1062), Blueberry Fritters (1063) and Blackberry Fritters (1064); these products have been sold since Nov. 18, 2024 and through July 16, 2025, and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025 in some channels. They were distributed online and at select U.S. retailers, including farm markets and roadside stands in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and South Carolina, and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025 in certain outlets.
