Raleigh, N.C., March 12, 2026 — Mama Grande Tortilla Factory of Mission, Texas has recalled two ready-to-eat sweet corn products, Gorditas de Azucar and Doraditas de Azucar, because they may contain undeclared wheat and soy, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions to consumers with wheat or soy allergies. Consumers with these allergies or sensitivities should not eat the products and should stop using them immediately.
The recalled items are identified as Gorditas de Azucar — UPC 860010238134 — lot code(s): all expiration dates, and Doraditas de Azucar — UPC 5901234123457 — lot code(s): all expiration dates. The products have been sold since Feb. 2, 2026, online and at select U.S. retailers, and were distributed to retail stores and wholesale customers in Texas; they are packaged in plastic bags labeled with the product name and corresponding UPC on the front.
Consumers may return the product to the place of purchase for a refund or credit, or dispose of it; retailers should immediately remove the product from sale and hold affected inventory for pickup.
