Kenz Henz Recalls "Pastured Raised Eggs" Because of Possible Health Risk

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Kenz Henz of Santa Fe, Texas, has recalled its 12-count "Grade AA Large Pasture Raised eggs" because they may be contaminated with Salmonella, which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, elderly or immunocompromised people. Consumers are advised to stop using the product immediately and not to eat the eggs; anyone who has experienced symptoms such as fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting or abdominal pain after consuming the product should seek medical attention and mention possible Salmonella exposure.

The recalled product is sold as Kenz Henz Grade AA Large Eggs in 12-count cartons marked with UPC 86949400030 and lot code(s) Julian dates 241 (Aug. 30) to 244 (Sept. 2) and 246 (Sept. 4) to 247 (Sept. 5), with best-by dates of 10/11 to 10/14 and 10/16 to 10/17 stamped on the side. The eggs have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers, including retail stores in Houston, Texas, and have been sold since Aug. 30, 2025. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this recall.

Consumers who purchased the 12-count cartons are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of them following local guidance; retain proof of purchase if requesting a replacement or refund.
