Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Colonna Brothers of North Bergen, N.J., has voluntarily recalled 1.5oz Marcum Ground Cinnamon and 2.25oz Supreme Tradition Ground Cinnamon because testing has found elevated lead levels that could pose a health risk. Consumers are urged to stop using these products immediately and not to eat them; short-term low-level exposure may be asymptomatic but prolonged or higher exposure can cause serious developmental and neurological harm, particularly in children, and chronic effects in adults.

The recalled items are identified as 1.5oz Marcum Ground Cinnamon (lot code(s): Best By 12/05/25 12 D8; Best By 12/05/25 12 D11) and 2.25oz Supreme Tradition Ground Cinnamon (lot code(s): 10/06/25 10A11). These products have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025; consumers should check jar labels where the lot code(s) are printed above the label under the cap to confirm whether their purchase is included in the recall.
