Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Homeneeds Inc. of Bellevue, Wash., has recalled Devi brand Cinnamon Powder (Dalchini Powder) 100 g packets, lot code(s) 2502315, because the product may be contaminated with lead. Consumers are urged to stop using the product immediately and not to eat it; exposure to lead can cause serious health effects, particularly in children and pregnant people, and may require medical evaluation if exposure is suspected.
The affected product is packaged in clear plastic bags, net wt. 100 gram, UPC 6 09595 11904 5, product of India, lot code(s) 2502315. The Devi brand Cinnamon Powder has been sold online and at select U.S. retailers, including Apna Bazar in Washington State, and have been sold since May 15, 2025 through Oct. 21, 2025. No illnesses have been reported to date; the recall was initiated after FDA testing detected elevated lead levels and Homeneeds’ investigation is ongoing.
Consumers should dispose of or return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund or request a replacement; if unsure how to proceed, keep the product and packaging and contact the retailer for instructions. Anyone who has consumed the product and is concerned should consult a health care provider about lead testing.
