Recall Details
Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Sprouts Farmers Market has recalled select Gyro Family Kit products after its supplier, Reser’s Fine Foods, Inc., alerted the retailer to potential Salmonella contamination in the cucumbers used in the tzatziki sauce; consumers should not eat the affected products and should stop using them immediately. The contamination poses a risk of serious illness, especially for young children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems; anyone who feels ill after consuming the product should contact a healthcare provider.
The recall applies to Gyro Family Kit (UPC 20594800000) with use-by dates 12/29/24 through 01/07/25, sold in plastic trays with clear plastic lids, lot code(s) as printed on the package. The kits have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025, online and at select U.S. retailers and were distributed to Sprouts stores in AL, AZ, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, KS, LA, MD, MO, NC, NJ, NM, NV, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA and WY; consumers should check the lot code and use-by date on packages before handling or consuming.
Customers who purchased the affected kits are urged to dispose of them or return them to their local Sprouts store for a full refund; alternatively, keep the product in its original packaging and request a replacement or refund per store policy. To reduce cross-contamination risk, thoroughly clean and sanitize any surfaces, utensils and containers that contacted the product.
