Lipari Foods Issues Recall of Ham & Cheese Wedge Sandwiches Due to Potential Contamination of Listeria Monocytogenes

Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Lipari Foods has issued a voluntary recall of Premo Ham & Cheese Wedge Sandwiches and Fresh Grab Ham & Cheese Wedge Sandwiches because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause severe or fatal infections in young children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems and can cause miscarriages in pregnant women. Consumers who have these products should not eat them and should stop using them immediately.

The affected items are identified by the following product names and lot code(s): Premo Wedge Ham & Cheese On Wheat (Lipari #915509, pack 4/5 oz., Best By 10/17/19, lot code(s) 24201909, UPC 612510002001) and Fresh Grab Wedge Ham & Cheese On Wheat (Lipari #252646, pack 56/5 oz., Best By 10/17/19, lot code(s) 24201909, UPC 612510002001). Lipari Foods began shipping these products on Sept. 25, 2019, and they have been sold since Sept. 25, 2019, online and at select U.S. retailers and distributed to food service and retail stores in Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Consumers should discard the recalled sandwiches or return them to the point of purchase for a refund or replacement and should not attempt to consume the product.
