Silver Moon LP DBA Loard’s Ice Cream Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Milk, Eggs, Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Soy, Wheat, Sulfites, and Food Color Additives in Ice Cream Products

San Leandro, Calif., Jan. 14, 2026 — Silver Moon, LP, doing business as Loard’s Ice Cream, has issued a voluntary recall of all retail-sized Loard’s Ice Cream products after an FDA inspection found their retail packaging lacked required ingredient statements and allergen declarations, creating a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions for people with sensitivities to milk, eggs, tree nuts, peanuts, soy, wheat or sulfites. Consumers who have these products should stop using them immediately and not eat the ice cream.

The recall covers Loard’s retail 32‑ounce paper cups and 56‑ounce plastic tubs sold under the Loard’s Ice Cream label, with affected lot code(s) corresponding to all retail‑packaged product distributed to Loard’s parlors in Northern California. Specific flavors include (but are not limited to) Almond Joy; Banana; Black Raspberry (and Black Raspberry Marble); Black Walnut; Blueberry Cheesecake; Brownie Nut Fudge; Burgundy Cherry; Butter Brickle; Caramel Cashew; Champagne Sherbet; Cherry Vanilla; Chocolate (and Chocolate Marble, Chocolate Mint, Chocolate Showers); Coconut Pineapple; Coffee; Cookies and Cream; Egg Nog; Green Tea; Horchata; Lemon Chiffon; Lime Sherbet; Mango; Maple Walnut; Mocha Almond Fudge; Mocha Chip; Orange Sherbet; Peanut Butter Fudge; Pecan Praline; Peppermint; Pistachio; Pumpkin; Rainbow Sherbet; Raspberry Sherbet; Rocky Road; Sea Salt Caramel; Strawberry; Toasted Almond; Ube; and Vanilla. These products have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025, online and at select U.S. retailers and in Loard’s Ice Cream parlors.
