Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Tropicale Foods of Ontario, Calif., has recalled specific Helados Mexico and La Michoacana frozen novelty products because they contain undeclared milk, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reaction to people with milk allergies or severe milk sensitivities; consumers who are allergic or sensitive to milk should stop using and not eat the products immediately. The company initiated the recall after an internal label audit found that some items list “cream” but do not declare “milk” as a common or allergen ingredient; one consumer illness has been reported to date.

These products have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025; they were distributed at retail locations nationwide.
