Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Acme Smoked Fish Corporation has recalled Kirkland Signature Smoked Salmon twin 12‑oz packages after laboratory testing confirmed Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The bacteria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems, and can cause miscarriages and stillbirths in pregnant women. Consumers should not eat the product and should stop using it immediately.
The recall covers Kirkland Signature Smoked Salmon, UPC 0 96619 25697 6, lot code(s) 8512801270, best‑by date 11/13/2024. The vacuum‑packed product, sold in a black‑bordered plastic package with a blue “Smoked Salmon” label and a salmon illustration, has been sold online and at select U.S. retailers, including Costco Warehouse stores in Florida and the Southeast Costco Distribution Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025. The product was distributed between Oct. 9, 2024 and Oct. 13, 2024.
Consumers should discard the product or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund and may request a replacement where available.
