Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — TBC Distribution Corporate of Brooklyn, N.Y., has recalled Lucky Foods brand Cinnamon Powder 40g because testing has shown the product may contain elevated levels of lead, posing a risk of increased blood lead levels and associated health effects; consumers should stop using the product immediately and not eat it. No illnesses have been reported to date. The company says it has stopped working with the implicated supplier while authorities continue their investigation.
The recalled item is Lucky Foods Cinnamon Powder, packaged in a 40g vacuum or modified-atmosphere pouch with a brown label; the best‑before date 15.09.2027 is printed on the bottom of the back label. Lot code(s): 15.09.2027 (use this lot code format to identify affected packages). The product have been sold since April 11, 2025, online and at select U.S. retailers, including grocery stores, convenience stores, supermarkets, delis, bakeries and restaurants in CA, FL, GA, IL, MD, MI, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC and TX.
Consumers should dispose of or return the product to the place of purchase for a refund or request a replacement from the company; when in doubt, do not consume the product.
