Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Sunco and Frenchie LLC of Pine Brook, N.J., have recalled Terrafina brand "Macadamia in the Raw" packed in 6 oz plastic containers because the product may be contaminated with Salmonella, a pathogen that can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and more serious infections in vulnerable populations. Consumers are advised to stop using the product immediately and not to eat it.
The recalled product is Terrafina Macadamia in the Raw, best by date 05/2025, lot code(s) RMA241201, UPC 847938003570; the plastic, square-shaped 6 oz container has a light green front label and a nutrition label indicating distribution by Oak Foods LLC, Bronx, NY 10474. The raw macadamia nuts were manufactured by SolCaribe, S.A., Costa Rica, and the product has been sold since Sept. 15, 2025 online and at select U.S. retailers, primarily in New York through retail stores, with Oak Foods LLC listed as distributor.
