Raleigh, N.C., March 6, 2024 — Colonna Brothers of North Bergen, N.J., has issued a voluntary recall of 1.5 oz Marcum Ground Cinnamon and 2.25 oz Supreme Tradition Ground Cinnamon because FDA testing found elevated lead levels that pose a potential health risk. Consumers are advised to stop using the affected products immediately and not to consume them; short- or long-term lead exposure can cause serious health problems, particularly in children and pregnant people.
The recall applies only to the following lot code(s) printed above the jar label and below the cap: 1.5 oz Marcum Ground Cinnamon — Best By: 10/16/25 10DB and Best By: 04/06/25 0400B1; 2.25 oz Supreme Tradition Ground Cinnamon — 09/29/25 09E8; 04/17/25 04E11; 12/19/25 12C2; 04/12/25 04ECB12; 08/24/25 08A; 04/21/25 04E5; 09/22/2025 09E20. The products have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and have been sold since April 6, 2025 (and through the dates shown on the affected lots).
