Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods, LLC has recalled three marinated cucumber products because they may be contaminated with Salmonella, a bacteria that can cause fever, diarrhea, vomiting and more serious illness in vulnerable populations. Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled products immediately and not to eat them; do not return opened product to shelves where it might be handled by others.
The recalled items are Marinated Cucumber Salad (16 oz) with sell-by dates and lot code(s) dated 5/11/25 through 5/26/25, Marinated Cucumber Salad (36 oz) with lot code(s) dated 5/11/25 through 5/26/25, and Marinated Cucumber Salad Bulk (5 lbs.) with lot code(s) dated 5/11/25 through 5/26/25. These products have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers, including Food Lion stores in Virginia and North Carolina, Harris Teeter in Williamsburg, VA, Kroger stores in VA, WV, OH and KY, Libbie Market and Ukrop’s Market Hall in Richmond, VA, and other retail customers since May 11, 2025.
Consumers should dispose of the product or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund; if returning, follow the retailer’s instructions to avoid additional exposure.
