Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Spring & Mulberry has voluntarily recalled its Mint Leaf Date Sweetened Chocolate Bar (2.1 oz) because the product may be contaminated with Salmonella, which can cause serious illness in young children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems; consumers should stop using the product immediately and dispose of it or keep it separated from other foods. No illnesses have been reported to date, and the company is initiating the recall after routine third‑party laboratory testing indicated a possible contamination risk.

The recall applies to products sold under the Spring & Mulberry brand with teal packaging, flavor designation “Mint Leaf,” and lot code(s) #025255, with the lot code printed on the back of the box and on the inner flow wrap. The affected bars have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers nationwide and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025.
