Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — JJWV Marketing Corporation of Santa Fe Springs, California has recalled Ankimo Monkfish Liver because the product may contain undeclared milk, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions to people with milk allergies or severe sensitivities; consumers are advised not to eat the product and to stop using it immediately. No illnesses have been reported to date. The recall has been initiated with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The recalled item is Ankimo Monkfish Liver, packaged vacuum sealed with a red label and white “ANKIMO” lettering; UPC 894042-002562; affected lot code(s) include products expiring Oct. 21, 2026, Oct. 22, 2026, and Oct. 17, 2027. The product has been sold in the frozen food section online and at select U.S. retailers, including Little Tokyo Market Place and H Mart stores in California, and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025.
Consumers who have purchased Ankimo Monkfish Liver should dispose of the product or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund and should not donate or share the product.
