The recall follows an internal audit that found an employee used an egg wash instead of water to apply sunflower or oat ingredients to the bread’s surface. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The affected product is labeled as Roly Poly Multigrain Bread, packaged in 20‑ounce clear plastic bags with product information on top and bar-coded part number 5005-8723 on the bottom; lot code(s): not specified by the company. The bread has been sold online and at select U.S. retailers, including Roly Poly Bakery locations, Polmart (CT), New Britain Market Place (CT), Bernat’s Deli (MA) and Golemo’s Market (MA), and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025 (purchased prior to April 11, 2024, per retailer records).
