Recall Details
Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Spring & Mulberry has expanded a voluntary recall of several flavors of its date-sweetened chocolate bars due to possible contamination with Salmonella, a pathogen that can cause serious illness. Consumers who have products listed below should not eat them and should stop using them immediately; anyone experiencing fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting or abdominal pain after consuming these products should seek medical attention.
The recalled items, sold under the Spring & Mulberry brand, include: Earl Grey (lot code(s) #025258), Lavender Rose (lot code(s) #025259, #025260), Mango Chili (lot code(s) #025283), Mint Leaf (lot code(s) #025255), Mixed Berry (lot code(s) #025275, #025281, #025337), Mulberry Fennel (lot code(s) #025345), Pacan Date (lot code(s) #025261, #025265, #025267, #025268, #025339, #025343) and Pure Dark Minis (lot code(s) #025273). These products have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers since Sept. 15, 2025; the lot code is printed on the back of the package and on the inner flow wrap. The company says no confirmed illnesses have been reported to date and that the expansion follows positive routine third‑party testing of finished product and a precautionary review of lots produced on the same equipment.
Consumers who purchased affected lot codes should dispose of the product or return it for a refund or replacement; to request a refund or replacement, email [email protected] and include a photo of the lot code and proof of purchase. For additional information or assistance, customers may contact Spring & Mulberry Customer Service at the same email address; if you need further details not provided here, please consult the company’s website or the FDA recall notice.
