Raleigh, N.C., May 7, 2026 — Legacy Snack Solutions of Waukesha, Wis., has voluntarily recalled certain batches of Giant Eagle Baked Pita Chips With Parmesan, Garlic & Herb because they may be contaminated with Salmonella, a pathogen that can cause fever, diarrhea, vomiting and more severe illness in vulnerable people. Consumers are urged to stop using the product immediately and not to eat it.
The recall covers Giant Eagle Baked Pita Chips With Parmesan, Garlic & Herb in 7.33-ounce black bags sold online and at Giant Eagle and Market District stores across Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, West Virginia and Indiana; the product have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025. Identifying information includes UPC 0 3003496507 5 and Best If Used By date 07/16/26 printed on the back of the bag (lot code(s) shown on the barcode panel).
Consumers should dispose of the product or return it to the store of purchase for a refund or replacement and may request credit by calling Legacy Snack Solutions’ 24/7 customer care line at 1-800-532-6120; you can also email customer inquiries to [email protected]. If you retain the item for a claim, photograph the barcode panel and Best If Used By date; if you lack purchase details, check with the retailer for return options.
