Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Frito‑Lay has recalled a limited number of 13 oz. bags of Lay’s Classic Potato Chips because they may contain undeclared milk, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions for people with a milk allergy or severe sensitivity; consumers who have the product should stop using it immediately and not eat it. The company says no other Lay’s products, flavors, sizes or variety packs are included in the recall, and no related allergic reactions have been reported to date.
The recalled product is Lay’s Classic Potato Chips, 13 oz., with lot code(s) that include Manufacturing Codes 6462307xx or 6463307xx and a “Guaranteed Fresh” date of 11 FEB 2025; UPC 28400 31041. These bags have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers in Oregon and Washington and have been sold since Nov. 3, 2024. Consumers should check the lot code(s) and date on the flexible bag to determine whether their package is part of the recall.
Consumers with the recalled product who have an allergy or sensitivity to milk should discard the product or return it to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement and may request a refund by contacting Frito‑Lay Consumer Relations at 1‑800‑352‑4477 (9 a.m.–4:30 p.m. CST, Monday–Friday) or by email at [email protected]; consumers should retain purchase receipt or proof of purchase when available.
