Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Walker’s Wine Juice LLC of Forestville, N.Y., has recalled its pumpkin juice because it may be contaminated with botulism, a potentially fatal form of foodborne illness that can cause weakness, dizziness, double vision, difficulty speaking or swallowing, and breathing problems. Consumers are advised to stop using the product immediately and not to consume it; anyone who has symptoms consistent with botulism should seek immediate medical attention.
The recall covers all lot code(s) of pumpkin juice sold in 2.5‑gallon bag‑in‑box and 5‑gallon hot pack containers labeled “pumpkin” and 30‑, 60‑, and 275‑gallon bulk containers tagged “pumpkin”; all lots are subject to the recall. The product has been sold since Sept. 15, 2025, online and at Walker’s Wine Juice retail store in New York, and distributed directly to a limited number of commercial wineries in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Consumers should dispose of or return remaining product and may request a refund or replacement by contacting Walker’s Wine Juice; email inquiries should be sent to [email protected]. If no product‑specific return instructions were provided at purchase, customers should retain proof of purchase and follow the retailer’s or manufacturer’s guidance; for health concerns, contact your local health department or seek medical care. No illnesses have been reported to date.
