Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Tama Corporation of Doral, Fla., has recalled 24-ounce containers of Queso de Mano PAISA after testing confirmed contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems; pregnant women risk miscarriage or stillbirth. Consumers are advised to stop using the product immediately and not eat it.
The recalled product is Queso de Mano PAISA, packaged in 24-ounce plastic containers, lot code(s): 2420104, BEST BY MAY 16, 2024; UPC 838795000338. The lot code is printed on the clear plastic lid. The product has been sold since May 16, 2023, online and at select U.S. retailers, and was distributed in Utah at Rancho Markets stores; consumers should check containers against the lot code and UPC to identify affected units.
