Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Green Pastures Creamery has recalled specific batches of its raw milk cheddar cheese after public health authorities linked the product to an outbreak of E. coli O157:H7, which can cause severe illness including bloody diarrhea and kidney failure in vulnerable individuals. Consumers are advised to stop using the products immediately and not eat them; do not serve them to children, the elderly, pregnant people, or anyone with a weakened immune system.
The recall covers Raw Milk Cheddar Cheese with lot code(s) A102, B214 and C330. These products have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and farmers’ markets and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025. Packaging bears the Green Pastures Creamery name and the above lot code(s) printed on the label; consumers who are unsure whether their cheese is included should check the lot code and packaging before consuming.
Consumers should either dispose of the recalled product in a sealed container or return it to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement; do not compost or feed the cheese to animals.
