Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Sea Port Products Corp. of Kirkland, Wash., has recalled limited lots of Sea Port brand Frozen Raw Easy Peel White Shrimp, Jumbo 16/20 count per pound, because they may be contaminated with the radioactive isotope cesium‑137 (Cs‑137). The contamination poses a potential long‑term cancer risk from repeated low‑dose exposure, and consumers are urged to stop using the product immediately and not to eat it.
The recalled items can be identified by the following lot code(s) printed on the UPC barcode on the back of the bag: 1 lb bag lot code C10524 SO502 080 (Best by May 08, 2028; UPC 659878010019) and 2 lb bags lot code C10524 SO502 080 (Best by May 07 or May 08, 2028; UPC 659878008610). The products have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers in Alaska, California, Hawaii, Montana, Oregon, Washington State, and American Samoa and have been sold since July 10, 2025 through September 22, 2025.
Consumers who purchased the affected shrimp should not consume it and should either dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund; they also may request a replacement if available.
