Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Publix has recalled one lot of Publix Rich & Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream because the product may contain an undeclared egg allergen, posing a risk of serious or life‑threatening allergic reactions to people with egg allergies; consumers who have the product should stop using it immediately and not eat it. The company says potentially impacted product has been removed from store shelves and there have been no reported illnesses to date.
The recall applies to Publix Rich & Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream half‑gallon containers, lot code(s): sell by date “June 19, 2026 A” (UPC 41415 03043), which may contain French Vanilla ice cream with a mismatched French Vanilla container lid. The product has been sold online and at select U.S. retailers and Publix stores in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee and Florida (excluding Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Tampa and Sarasota stores) and has been sold since Sept. 15, 2025. Publix locations in Virginia and North Carolina are not impacted by this recall.
Consumers should dispose of the product or return it to their local Publix for a full refund and are advised to request a refund or replacement if affected.
