Dole Fresh Vegetables, Inc. Announces Voluntary Recall of Limited Number of Salad Kits Due to Possible Health Risk from Listeria Monocytogenes

Raleigh, N.C., Feb. 8, 2024 — Dole Fresh Vegetables, Inc. has announced a voluntary recall of a limited number of Dole-branded and private‑label salad kits because they were processed on the same line as cheese recalled by the supplier for possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The core risk is Listeria infection, which can cause serious illness or death in young children, the elderly, pregnant women and immunocompromised people; consumers who have the identified products should not eat them and should stop using them immediately.

The recall covers specific Dole, President’s Choice and Marketside salad kits with the following lot code(s): Dole Chopped Kit Avocado Ranch (lot code(s) W019–W036, N019–N036), Dole Chop Kit Avocado Ranch (71430000922; lot code(s) W022–W036), Dole Premium Kit Southwest Salad (71430017012; lot code(s) W022–W036, N022–N036), Dole Cajun Ranch Chopped Kit (71430002063; lot code(s) W029–W036, N022–N036), Dole Premium Kit Endless Summer (71430010730; lot code(s) W022–W036, N023–N036), Dole Supreme Kit Southwest Salad (71430017111; lot code(s) W020–W036), President’s Choice Southwest Salad Kit (60383023195; lot code(s) W034–W036, B018–B024), and Marketside Chopped Salad Kit Bacon Ranch Crunch (681131305440; lot code(s) B020–B036). These items have been sold online and at select U.S. retailers since Feb. 3, 2024, in multiple states; consumers should check the lot code(s) in the upper‑right corner of the package to confirm whether their product is included.

Consumers who possess any recalled product are urged to dispose of it immediately or return it to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement; if unsure, do not consume the product and contact the seller for guidance.
