Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Cricket Creek Farm of Williamstown, Mass., has recalled specific lots of Sophelise, Tobasi and Berkshire Bloom cheeses because of potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination and incomplete pasteurization records, officials say. The contamination poses a serious health risk, particularly to pregnant women, young children, older adults and people with weakened immune systems. Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled products immediately and not to eat or distribute them.
The recalled products are identified as Sophelise cheese, lot code(s) 087055; Tobasi cheese, lot code(s) 315, 341, 048; and Berkshire Bloom cheese, lot code(s) 076. Sophelise and Tobasi have been sold since March 26, 2023, and Berkshire Bloom has been sold since April 20, 2023. The cheeses were distributed online and at select U.S. retailers, farmers markets and restaurants in Massachusetts and New York, including Wild Oats and Provisions in Williamstown, Wells Provisions in Charlemont, McEnroe Organic Farm Market in Millerton and New Lebanon Farmers Market.
Consumers who purchased Sophelise (087055), Tobasi (315, 341, 048) or Berkshire Bloom (076) between the dates noted should dispose of or return remaining product to the place of purchase for a full refund, or request a replacement where available.
