Recall Details
Raleigh, N.C., Jan. 14, 2026 — Solata Foods LLC. of Newburgh, N.Y., has recalled multiple packaged fresh salad greens, including Fresh Spinach, because samples have tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, the elderly, pregnant women and immunocompromised persons. Consumers are urged to stop using and not eat the recalled products immediately and to seek medical advice if they experience symptoms such as fever, headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain or diarrhea after consuming these products.
The recall covers a range of branded salad greens and spinach sold online and at select U.S. retailers and have been sold since Sept. 15, 2025. Affected items include packages bearing lot code(s) 40606 and 11006 and expiration dates stamped 6/20/24 and 6/24/24, as well as numerous UPC-listed products under the Solata, Gaia, Full Circle, Bogopa, Farmer Direct and Uncle Vinny’s brands (examples: Solata Spinach UPC 854311007391; Bogopa Spinach UPC 819964014695; Full Circle Organic Baby Spinach UPC 036800490512; Gaia Organic Spring Mix UPCs 850039434075 and 850039434082). Production of the implicated product has been suspended pending further investigation.
Consumers who purchased any of the listed products or who are unsure whether their purchase is included are advised to dispose of the products or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund, and to request a refund or replacement through retailer return policies.
